According to a 2011 report from the Center for Disease Control bathrooms are the most dangerous rooms, because of falls and fractures. Americans age 65 and older have the highest fracture rates and are hospitalized most often. Many falls can be prevented by installing grab bars and by converting tub/shower combinations to low threshold or curbless showers.
